Coupon Alert Helps You Score The Best Movies

Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: Coupon Alert, Money-Saving Tips | Posted by: Crafy Jax | April 29th, 2013

I am absolutely movie obsessed. I could sit in my bed all day, through cold and rainy to sunny and warm, and just watch movies. I like mostly all genres of movies, with the exception of most horror films like “Silence of the Lambs” and gory movies like “Saw.”

I’m more into love stories, especially the ones starring Ryan Gosling. “The Notebook” and “Blue Valentine” have to be my favorite love stories of all time. Although both end pretty tragically, what’s not to love about Ryan Gosling’s perfectly chiseled body and beautiful face?  I’m also a huge “Titanic” fan, and like almost every 11-year-old in the world, I am, in fact, a die-hard “Twilight” fan.

Although I do have a soft spot for romantic movies, I am also into the more intense, thrilling movies. I could watch movies like “The Shawshank Redemption,” “The Dark Knight,” and “The Departed,” over and over again, and be just as excited each time.

Buying movies can be expensive, but thanks to Coupon Alert, I can rent and buy all of my favorite movies for a discounted price from almost any movie store. Coupon Alert is a great way to get the best discounts for your favorite things!

Homeland is a Great Show for Thriller TV Fanatics

Filed under: TelevisionFanatic | Tags: Homeland, TV Recommendations, TV Shows | Posted by: Crafy Jax | March 27th, 2013

There isn’t a show on TV more perfect for television fanatics than Homeland. Starring Oscar winner Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, and British actor Damien Lewis as Nicholas Brody, Homeland could not be more of a nail biter and give you sweatier palms, as almost every episode literally has you falling off the edge of your seat.

The premise of the show is based on Carrie (Danes), a Central Intelligence Officer, who comes to believe that Brody (Lewis), a soldier held captive by Al-Queda as a prisoner of war, has sided with the enemy and poses a threat to the United States. Throughout the first season, Carrie goes to all extremes possible to prove that Brody is part of the Al-Queda, but is constantly shut down by other CIA agents, and is even put into a psyche ward, where her whole memory is erased.

The best part about the show, though, is that in the midst of accusing Brody of all of this and risking her life, Carrie and Brody fall in love and have a secret romance, which makes everything in the show that much more complicated. Crazy, right? Well I can promise you, TV fans, that you’ll be hooked on Homeland just half way through the very first episode.

SmileyCreator™Saves the Day

I don’t know what I would have done without SmileyCreator this weekend. A few months ago, I volunteered to watch my cousins Emily and Erik because my Aunt wanted to go on a “stay-cation.” I adore Emily and Erik, so I was excited to offer my services for the weekend. However, I don’t know a lot about kids, and it wasn’t long before I realized I was “in over my head.”

The minute my Aunt Julie dropped off Emily and Erik, they were arguing over some toy. I quickly  said, “who wants pizza.” Erik dropped the toy and Emily forgot all about they both screamed “yay” and ran to the kitchen to grab a plate.  Problem solved, right? No, problem not solved. At dinner Erik started throwing pepperoni at Emily. It wasn’t long before both of them we covered in pizza sauce and needed a bath. At this point, I’m thinking, great, this is not what I signed up for.

The rough-housing and fighting continued throughout the night. Until finally I told Emily a secret. I said, “if you’re nice to Erik,” you can play on my computer and use my SmileyCreator. Emily looked at me with the biggest smile, I’ve ever seen.

Emily agreed to watch Power Rangers, and I handed her my laptop while Erik wasn’t looking. If it wasn’t for SmileyCreator, I don’t know if would have survived the weekend.

Get Smiley with CursorMania™

CursorMania toolbar includes smileys, ecards, screensavers, skins, avatars, the MyWebSearch® search box and Search Assistant. I was tired of seeing my boring ol’ computer cursor, when I discovered CursorMania. Once I downloaded CursorMania, I was able to choose from 7,500 cursors and that’s not the best part. The best part is that all 7,500 cursors are FREE.

The hardest part about choosing between so many different cursors is deciding which one you want. When choosing a cursor, you can choose between smileys, butterflies, stars, fairies, turtles, and more. The list is endless. Finally I decided to download a cursor of a shinning star.  It was a hard decision, but I figured, now that I have the CursorMania toolbar, I can download a new cursor anytime I want – I’ve already decided which cursor I’ll download next!

New Girl TelevisionFanatic™

As a New Girl TelevisionFanatic, I sat glued to the TV on Tuesday night. I watched the season premiere and loved every minute of it.  New Girl isn’t for everyone. My boyfriend finds the main character, Jess (Zooey Deschannel), very annoying.  I, however, find her adorable.

New Girl wasn’t didn’t have a very strong start. The first first few episodes weren’t very impressive. However, over the years, the show became more quirky, cute and funny. The show is focused on Jess, the “New Girl,” and her three roommates.  Jess is a little insecure and somewhat naive. She finds herself in one risky situation after another, and she’s always watching out for her roommates (even if it’s not always wanted).

In my opinion the show is about four people trying to figure what to do with their lives. Everyone says that you’ll never forget your 20′s or they say, I would do anything to be 20-something again.  But no one tells you that you might a bartender in your 20′s or that you might get fired (even if you’re really good at your job), or that you won’t make it as a professional athlete. I believe that’s the underlying message of New Girl.

It’s a rainy day, and I have nothing to do. Work is boring. Everyone is quiet, so I think it’s time to start searching for fun new downloads. I’ll start with Popular Screensavers.

With Popular Screensavers, I can choose from hundreds of designs, photos, and illustrations. Decorating the background of your computer is a great way to kill some time when the work day is slow.

I feel inspired by the rain, so I’m going to look for a screensaver with a large storm cloud.  Maybe the storm cloud will be hovering over the ocean. Maybe I’ll find a storm cloud with lightning. I usually change my screensaver every other week. I like to create a mood that will inspire great work. Sometime I choose a screensavers that I think are cute, other times, I choose screensavers that I think are pretty.

When I’m at home, I also use Popular Screensavers. At home, I look for extremely creative screensavers. With Popular Sceensavers you can change your screensaver whenever you want using almost any image you want.

Mindspark has tons of downloads, Popular Screensaver is just one!

After trying a number of weather applications, I have decided that WeatherBlink gives the best weather forecast.  I use WeatherBlink in the morning before I go to work, in the afternoon before I go to lunch and in the evening before I go on a run. If it wasn’t for weatherblink I’d always be stuck in the rain.

WeatherBlink helps be train for my half marathon. I run everyday, so I need to know whether I can run outside or if I have to go to the gym. If my WeatherBlink says it’s going to rain, then I pack up my shoes and I head to the gym.  If WeatherBlink tells me the weather is 75 degrees and sunny, then I tie my laces and hit the pavement.  I also look at the weather before I get dressed in the morning. You never want to where long pants when it’s going to rain. If it’s going to rain, I like to wear my rain boots. It’s always good to be prepared.

Don’t be frustrated with your current weather man, try something that’s reliable and with a good reference. If you are a planner like me, then you need the WeatherBlink tool. Nothing is worse than getting caught in the rain without bringing your umbrella. Take my advice and get good weather advice from WeatherBlink.

Dictionary Boss™ Toolbar Helps with New Project

Filed under: DictionaryBoss | Tags: | Posted by: Crafy Jax | August 7th, 2012

I use my DictionaryBoss toolbar for everything. DictionaryBoss is good for crossword puzzles, writing e-mails, and so much more.  Recently, I used DictionaryBoss to help me with a new design project focusing on typography.

For this project I used DictionaryBoss toolbar to help me find words that related to the concept for the poster. The concept of the posters was to display with words my goals (short term and long term) so that I would be inspired by them everyday. At first, I was having a hard time thinking of creative words that would describe my short term and long term goals.  Using DictionaryBoss, I was able to find the perfect way to describe my ambition for success tangibly.

I don’t think the project would have gone smoothly if it wasn’t for my DictionaryBoss toolbar. Today, I get up every morning and look at the poster on the wall to remind myself that today is the day to make it happen.

FilmFanatic™ about Batman

Filed under: FilmFanatic | Tags: | Posted by: Crafy Jax | July 30th, 2012

The new Batman movie was absolutely amazing!  My friends and I went the midnight showing of Batman and the theater was packed. Some people were even dressed up in batman costumes – talk about FilmFantics.

Batman, “The Dark Night Rises,” starring Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, and Anne Hathaway, was the best Batman movie yet (just when you thought it couldn’t get any better).  When I first got to the movie theater, I thought, how am I going to stay awake? Three very short hours later, I didn’t even realize the time had passed.

Batman will have you hanging off the side of your chair because its the perfect combination of suspense and excitement.  I thought Anne Hathaway did an amazing job as Catwoman, and I thought the Dark Knight Rises was the prefect end to an great Trilogy.  Some people might say that the Dark Knight was the best, but I would disagree. I think the Dark Knight Rises, was by far the best.

As a FilmFanatic, I follow the director, the stars, and I read all of the reviews. Christopher Nolan is an incredible director. No other director has been able to create a movie series with such great power. He redefined superhero and create an epic event.
