Webfetti™in the office
Filed under: Webfetti | Tags: Nerf Guns, WebFetti Info (2), Webfetti Office | Posted by: Crafy Jax | April 24th, 2012
Most desk jobs are boring. Webfetti in the office makes the work day go by just little bit faster.
Let’s do the math if you have a desk job, and lets say you work 40 hours/week, which is standard, you will spend 24% of your year looking at a computer and sitting at a desk – That’s 1,920 hours. Now lets say you sleep an average of 7 hours a night (including the weekend), you will spend 29% of your year sleeping and 20% enjoying the weekends. You are left with 27% of unaccounted hours. Are you watching TV? Cooking dinner? Working a second job? unmotivated because work is boring.
In our office, we always try to develop fun activities that help people from feeling like their lives aren’t being wasted away sitting at a computer. Webfetti in the office is a great to way to personalize e-mail and have fun. We play a game that we like to call cubical chairs – We also have Nerf Gun fights. If you’re going to spend a quarter of your life sitting at a computer, you should find ways to make it fun.

Springtime with SmileyCreator™
Filed under: Smiley Creator | Tags: Smiley Creator (2), Springtime | Posted by: Crafy Jax | April 5th, 2012
Spring is finally here, which means, light jackets and long bike rides. Springtime calls for SmileyCreator. I use smiley creator to design custom smiley faces for my friends and family – I can even post the smiles that I create on their facebook walls.
This spring I plan to go on a lot of bike rides. I just bought a new bike with my boyfriend, Russ. Today, I looked up the trails close to my house. There are over 50 trail close-to or near-by my house. I can just picture a 20-25 mile bike ride and a picnic at the park. It’s a great way to get some sun, exercise, and have fun.
I also decided to start running. I’m planning to run a 1/2 marathon in the fall. I even convince Russ to do it with me. I’m so excited. Training for a 1/2 marathon is so much fun. I can only run about 1-2 maybe 3 miles so far, which is a great start. You should run 3-4 times a week, at the very least. The idea is to just get out there an go, and it is okay if you need to walk. Everyone walks when you first start training.
While I’m training I use custom designed smiley creator icon to encourage Russ – He loves it when I smile on his facebook wall!

Time to Start Pimpin’
Filed under: CursorMania | Tags: CursorMania (4), Pimp Your Desktop | Posted by: Crafy Jax | March 22nd, 2012
Pimpin’ your desktop is easy if you follow the 3-step pimpin’ your desktop process, which involves CursorMania, crazy screen savors, fun tool bars, and confetti (yes I said confetti). Look at your boring desktop computer. What do you see? Do you see a standard boring blue screen? If so, maybe now is the time start pimpin’.
Step 1) Start by choosing a cool cursor from CursorMania, balloons, flying pigs, ducks, smiley faces – The choices are endless.
Step 2) Change your background. You can change your background and your screen-savor to make your desktop fit your personality. Choose something that will make you enjoy spending time at your desk, whether you choose something entertaining, relaxing, or funny.
Step 3) Get a desktop tool bar that will give you updates on your favorite sports players, actors and new movies, and celebrity gossip. Desktop tool bars will keep you entertained throughout the day.
Step 3.5) So confetti might be over-the-top, but if you want to really pimp out your desktop, web-fetti is the way to go. Pimp out your smiley faces, arrows, and fun words such as “awesome.”

Soccer is the Perfect Spring Sport
Filed under: SoccerInferno | Tags: Alternative Exercise, SoccerInferno (3), Spring Sports | Posted by: Crafy Jax | March 12th, 2012
Getting involved in sports can be challenging. First, you have to choose a sport to try, then then you have to determine if you like the sport enough to practice it over and over again.
A good friend of mine recently invited me to a soccer game. She follows her favorite players with SoccerInferno, so she bought a handful of tickets when she found out that her favorite team was playing at the stadium close to her house. Soccer seems to be the perfect spring sport with the right amount of endurance, hand-eye coordination, and it looks like so much fun!
I asked my friend if she would join and team with me, and she said, absolutely. Apparently, a lot of people join spring sports. It is a great way to socialize and meet new people, while also being a form of alternative exercise. Who wants to run on a treadmill everyday, especially when the sun is out?
I downloaded SoccerInferno to see if I could pick up some tips. Thanks to my friend, I found the perfect spring sport for me.

Keep up with your Favorite Shows
Filed under: TelevisionFanatic | Tags: Gossip Girl, TelevisionFanatic (3), Vacation (2) | Posted by: Crafy Jax | March 2nd, 2012
This week I was on vacation. My parents decided to take me to Colorado for my birthday. I love the mountains and love spending time with my family, so this was a perfect way to spend my birthday. When I was younger, we would try to go to Colorado at least once a year. I enjoy snowboarding in the winter, but I also enjoy the summers. The summer in Colorado is amazing because of all of the hiking, biking, horseback riding and water rafting.
Going on vacation is so much fun; however, it can be stressful too because of all the work you need to get done before you go. I also missed all of my favorite shows, Gossip Girl, Heart of Dixie, Modern Family, Parks and Recreation, and Glee. However, with TelevisionFanatic, I was able to keep up with all of my favorite shows and actors even while I was on vacation.
Now that I am back home, I plan to have another vacation in-front of the TV watching all of my favorite shows before I have to go back to work tomorrow.

Planning Your Next Vacation
Filed under: Popular Screensavers | Tags: Popular Screensavers (2), Vacation (2) | Posted by: Crafy Jax | February 22nd, 2012
Before I plan my vacations, I test out the scenery with Popular Screensavers.
Popular Screensavers is a great tool to get a look at the vacation spot you are interested in. For example, images of the beach with palm trees could indicate that you are looking for something domestic, maybe, California or Florida. Images with rocks or stones might have you daydreaming about a spa getaway. Images of crystal clear water could indicate that you’re looking for something exotic like the, Caribbean or Mediterranean.
Planning your next vacation can be tricky if you are like me. I want to travel everywhere. It’s always hard to choose the next vacation spot. I would like to someday travel to Australia, Brazil, the South of France, Italy, Africa – to name a few. I’d like to go to cities, Tokyo, Amsterdam, and Paris – The list goes on.

Should have Looked at WeatherBlink™
Filed under: WeatherBlink | Tags: WeatherBlink (4), WeatherBlink Forecast (2) | Posted by: Crafy Jax | February 14th, 2012
Today I wore my giant puff coat, boots, and I’m layered with sweaters. I usually rely on my WeatherBlink Forecast, but I thought since it’s the second week in February that the weather would stay consistent. Just two days ago, it was snowing. Today, I was carrying my puff coat and enjoying and sun. I’m not trying to complain too much. I enjoy the sun and the warm air. I’m not a huge fan of winter, generally; it’s too cold. I just don’t enjoy wearing the wrong outfit on the wrong day.
WeatherBlink Forecast has been a lifesavor this winter because you can’t rely on your instincts. Usually, the weather is consistently cold for at least two months. This year, the weather can literally change drastically over night.
As much as I like the warm weather, I also like the snow. I don’t like that it’s cold, but I do enjoy snowboarding. My first attempt to go snowboarding this year will be this weekend. I’m nervous because I hear it’s hard to snowboard when there isn’t a lot of natural snow.

Better E-mails with Dictionary Boss™
Filed under: DictionaryBoss | Tags: Dictionary Boss, Writing E-mails | Posted by: Crafy Jax | February 8th, 2012
Do you remember writing letters to your family and friends? Did you ever have a pen-pal? The thought of writing a letter or having a pen-pal seems so ancient. Today, every form of communication is done via the Internet, whether you’re e-mailing or instant messaging. My entire day is catered to answering e-mails and responding to instant messages. I used my computer’s Dictionary Boss toolbar to help me craft well written e-mails.
There are pros and cons to communicating via the Internet, pros can also be cons and cons can also be pros. Sound confusing? Don’t worry, I’ll give you a few examples. First example, when I schedule a doctors appointment over the Internet, I instantly get an e-mail letting me know that my appointment has been schedule. This type of instant gratification is exactly what I need. I can immediately set the appointment up on my calendar. The pro is that I get the message instantly and it’s a message that I need to read instantly. However, let me give you an example of how this pro can also be a con. My mom loves to talk. She will talk about anything and everything, and she always has an opinion. My mom will leave me half-a-dozen messages about what to cook for dinner or what shoes to wear with her dress. The con is that I get the message instantly, but it is most definitely not a message that I need to read instantly.

Webfetti™ for Valentine’s Day
Filed under: Webfetti | Tags: Holiday Decoration, Valentine's Day, Webfetti (2) | Posted by: Crafy Jax | February 2nd, 2012
There are many uses for Webfetti, just last month I used Webfetti to help celebrate the New Year, I have Confetti Webfetti everywhere - This month, I plan to used Webfetti to help celebrate Valentine’s Day with heart-fetti everything. I can’t wait.
Valentine’s Day is the same every year for me and my 4 best friends. Ever since freshman year of highschool, my best friends and I made a packed that we would always celebrate our friendship rather than celebrate, what we used to call, “our flavor of the month.” Eventhough I’ve had a steady boyfriend for 2 years, I still celebrate Valentine’s Day my friends. Every year gets better and better.
Last year the 4 of us decided to something extremely low key. We went dinner and a movie. Turns out that dinner and a movie on Valentine’s Day is the farthest from “low key.” Do you know how hard it is to get a reservation for 4 on Valentine’s Day. It’s almost impossible to snag a table from the hands of a desperate guy or girl trying to impress their lovers. We ended up eating at a dive Mexican resturant and having the time of our lives. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life.

Ryan Gosling is my FilmFanatic™ favorite
Filed under: FilmFanatic | Tags: FilmFanatic (2), Ryan Gosling | Posted by: Crafy Jax | January 24th, 2012
I follow Ryan Gosling on FilmFanatic, so I was well aware that Ryan Gosling and George Clooney starred in a political thriller, The Ides of March, which I have been meaning to watch for weeks. My Ryan Gosling update from Film Fanatic reminded me to watch the movie, so I immediately rented the movie and call a few friends to join me.
The movie was good, of course, Ryan Gosling was amazing. Ryan’s character, Stephen Meyers, is the classic young intellectual trying to make it to the top. Stephen, is the press secretary to, George Clooney’s character, Governor Mike Morris’s, in a political race to become president. The tone of the movie doesn’t change much from beginning to end, but encompasses all necessary ingredients, sex, love, and politics. However, I warn you, the only person Stephen is in love with is himself. This movie does a great job of portraying all the classic backstabbing events that we hear about in politics. The movie makes it clear that being young and being in politics is hard and that you always have to prove yourself. In the end, Stephen’s motivation to be excellent at his job prevails and it drives him to be the same backstabber that he originally despised. Stephen does ends up on top; however, to get to the top in politics you have to get your hands dirty.
FilmFanatic tells me that my next movie should be, Sherlock Holmes. According to FilmFanatic, the movie is adventurous and exciting; besides, who wouldn’t want to see Jude Law and Rachel McAdams? I’ll keep you posted.
